In-Depth Counsellor Training
The In Depth Training Seminar is designed to give you, as a pastor, counselor, Christian worker, or lay person the ability to connect or help people in distress. You will be given tools to begin applying Biblical principles to help the people you are working with. CFTH staff will teach you to help people find freedom in three main areas: emotional problems, spiritual problems and spiritual strongholds.
Our approach to counselling involves a dependence upon the Holy Spirit to lead us (counselors) to assist the counselee to resolve each of their personal problems. We trust the Holy Spirit to direct, convict and enable the counsellee in this process.
We do not judge a person for where they have been, but seek to follow the direction of the Lord to resolve and lead individuals to freedom. (Galatians 5:1 John 10:10)
Our Goal is to assist each person to realize and understand God's design and purpose in their lives and find fulfillment in being the person God designed for them to be ...spiritually free from anything that would hinder them from a right relationship with God and others.
We meet together Monday through Friday 9 a.m. - 4:30 p.m.. We walk through specific areas of spiritual and emotional issues where people struggle and learn how to bring someone to freedom in each area. If possible, we like to incorporate live counselling which gives the opportunity to observe a real life counselling situation. You will also receive a workbook with notes that includes all the information you will be learning.
Bob Bramhill pastored at Gorrie Bible Fellowship for fifteen years. During that time he realized the desperate need to provide help for hurting individuals and marriages. After crying out to the Lord for direction, He led Bob and his wife, Gwen, to be involved with "Caring for the Heart" in Colorado in 1999. They began to see individuals and couples resolve emotional and spiritual issues so they could start to enjoy the kind of relationships that God intended for us to have.
Bob and Gwen started a full time ministry in counselling beginning in 2003. Their desire for individuals and couples is ...that their hearts may be encouraged and knit together by strong ties of love. We want them to have complete confidence that they understand Gods mysterious plan, which is Christ himself. "In him lie hidden all the treasures of wisdom and knowledge: Colossians 2:2,3
