Director/Counsellor: Bob Bramhill

Bob, along with his wife Gwen, pastored at Gorrie Bible Fellowship in southwestern Ontario for fifteen years, during that time began to realize the desperate need to provide help for hurting individuals and marriages. After crying out to the Lord for direction, He led them to be involved with “Biblical Concepts in Counselling” in Colorado in 1999. They began to see individuals and couples resolve emotional and spiritual issues so they could start to enjoy the kind of relationships that God intended for us to have.
As the counselling load increased, the Lord led Bob and Gwen to pursue a full time ministry in counselling. As a result, they resigned from pastoring January 1, 2003 and opened a Biblical Concepts in Counselling office in Gorrie. Bob writes: Our desire for individuals and couples is …that their hearts may be encouraged and knit together by strong ties of love. I want them to have complete confidence that they understand God’s mysterious plan, which is Christ himself. In him lie hidden all the treasures of wisdom and knowledge. Colossians 2:2,3.
In August of 2011 the office was moved to Wingham Ontario and their name was changed to “Caring for the Heart Ministries Canada”.
Bob and Gwen continue to enjoy their seven children and ten grand children.

Counsellor: Kathy Allison

Kathy and her husband, Rick had the privilege to attend counselling sessions here at CFTH. “We had no idea the state our hearts were in and the cycle of constantly stepping on each other’s pain. This hurtful cycle caused many struggles, not only in our marriage, but also with our relationships with others.” Little did they know that when Jesus asks us to forgive, He gives grace when we make that choice, and He heals the
pain of our broken hearts.
Kathy has a passion to come alongside people and help them explore their hearts. She desires to see people meet Jesus in their brokenness and witness the healing that only Jesus can perform.
Kathy and her husband, Rick live in Bancroft, Ontario. They have 4 amazing adult children, two of which are married which has added two more special people to the clan and to top that off, 3 fun-loving grandkids.

Counsellor: Donald Boyd

Don has dedicated his life to serve Christ through a variety of ministries; but his story is one of great brokenness and, thankfully, great restoration. Because of his own experience, he became involved in the ministry of inner healing and Biblical counselling in 2000. Since then, Don's career has largely focused on seeing others restored spiritually, emotionally and, occasionally, physically.
Don and his wife, Sharon have been married for almost 40 years and have 2 grown, married children and 4 grand-children. In 2018, the Boyds moved to the Clifford, ON area to start a private retreat centre where pastors and missionaries can find rest, restoration, and re-visioning in Christ.

Counsellor: June Coleman

June has a desire to help women who are experiencing emotional pain and negative emotions. She assists them in coming to freedom from their pain and experiencing love joy & peace.
June and her husband Carl experienced difficulties in their marriage from the beginning. The emotional distress in their relationship led to June experiencing physical ailments. When they spent only a week in a Caring for the Heart office in Colorado Springs, Colorado, an unexpected and surprising result was that her physical ailments cleared up immediately. She felt joy and peace and much relief that she had not felt in many years.
Carl and June have 3 married children, 3 grandsons and 1 granddaughter. Carl has sold the Seed Business and they are enjoying their retirement years on a hobby farm outside of Palmerston.

Counsellor: Bethany Horst

Bethany was led by the Lord to resign from her teaching career at a small Mennonite school to join the CFTH office in 2013. Out of her own story of abuse was born a deep desire to provide a safe place for hurting girls and women.
Bethany has known the pain of a broken heart. She also knows the deep peace and joy that follows the divine touch of Jesus the Healer. God has given her a passion to lead others to experience His divine touch of healing.
