All persons attending an intern week must apply to attend at least two weeks prior to the scheduled sessions. Confidentiality is very important to us. We check with all interns before coming to make sure they do not know the clients who will be attending. If people come at the last minute, we are unable to keep to the standard of confidentiality that we are striving for.
The cost of interning is $100 per intern, or $150 per married couple.
Please only book weeks that you are sure you will be able to come. If, for some reason, you are unable to attend your scheduled week, we ask that you kindly notify us as soon as possible, but no later than two weeks before your scheduled sessions. This will allow us to offer your place to someone else who is waiting for the opportunity to attend. We do understand there are some exceptions for last minute cancellations, such as sickness.
Please arrive on time. If this is your first time interning, we would like you to be at the office by 12:15 on the first day. That way, we can get you oriented, and settled in the intern room before our clients arrive. On subsequent days, or if you have interned before, please arrive by 12:30 at the side door.
Counselling sessions run from 1:00p.m. - 4:00p.m. Tuesday - Thursday, and from 9:30a.m. - 12:30p.m. on Friday. Please arrive by 9:00 am and be settled by 9:15 am on Friday.
There will be opportunities for discussion with pastor Bob following the sessions.
You are welcome to bring a lunch, snacks, etc. There is a fridge available.
Please take time to pray as you prepare for your week of interning - for your learning opportunity, for pastor Bob, and also for the folks preparing for counselling as it can be very hard for them. Keep praying throughout the week as God works through His healing process.
